Wedding Favors You Can Eat
One of the least expensive and yet enjoyable gifts left for guests at a wedding are wedding favors you can eat. You can of course provide savory favors which can be novel but the vast majority will prefer something sweet. There is something quite special about a chocolate bar that has a wrapper designed to suit the special occasion. These chocolate bars can be simple milk chocolate, dark or white chocolate which are filled with items such as almonds or raisins. It doesn’t cost the earth to have the name of the bride and groom printed on the wrapper plus the date of the wedding.
It is not unusual to see a picture of the happy couple on this sort of wrapper or even a presentation box. Another edible wedding favor option is to use tins of candy instead of bars for couples that want to try something different. These tins become mementos of the big day if the bride and groom have gone to the trouble of having the wedding details placed on every tin. It is doubtful that the candy will remain uneaten before the end of the day but the tins are always useful afterwards; they are useful for all sorts of storage from holding small items to storing fishing flies. Candy is a very popular choice when a bride and groom are considering giving wedding favors you can eat.
One option that is growing in popularity is the use of large glass bowls containing the bride and grooms own favorite types of candy. Otherwise a small container, which can be themed if appropriate, can be used instead. The guests can fill the containers with some of the candy from the centerpiece at the end of the evening. A good alternative to candy as an edible wedding favor is cookies which most people enjoy. You can select cookies which are rather plain in nature but place them in keepsake boxes with the bride and grooms’ names as well as the date of the wedding.
Why not place an image of the happy couple with the wedding details directly onto the face of the cookie to add a finishing touch. There are many bakeries that can make these cookies for you in a variety of sizes and shapes; you just simply need to select a design and give the bakery a photo to use in the design process. For something completely different, consider using beverages for the wedding favors you can eat; tea and coffee spring to mind but there are others. You can select specialty cocoas, teas or coffees or you can have the packaging customized to include your picture, an appropriate quotation, poem or other message related to loves and weddings. A picture and other wedding information can also be placed on the box or container because it adds that touch of individuality. If you have not found any of these suggestions appealing, there is no reason why you cannot come up with something that is completely unique for your guests!
